Award Winner

For all those who don't know the Maya Kamath Memorial Awards are the only awards for political cartoonists in India. I have been participating for quite some time and on this occasion I won a Special Jury Mention. So yes, this is a pretty big deal for me.

About the cartoon:

It was a very chilly day and PMC safai kamgar were finding sacks of notes thrown in the garbage post demonetization. I linked the two and lo behold a cartoon was born.

Cartoon Exhibitions

Hi All,

"Cartoonists Combine", a body of cartoonists initiated by the Late Balasaheb Thakre had come back to force about two years ago. Since then they have held grand cartoon exhibitions in 2016 and 2017 at Mumbai and Nagpur respectively.
I had participated in both and my works were exhibited among the great cartoonists of today.

These ones are from the Mumbai Conference and Exhibition of 2016. It was a grand royal event for a body of less than a 100 people. Back then I had a beard.
