World Cartoonist Day 2022 Award

My cartoon on the theme "War" won the first prize at annual international contest organized by Cartoonist Combine group of Maharashtra. I could not attend so my father accepted on my behalf from Minister of Industries, Mining and Marathi Shri. Subhash Desai .

For all those who don't know the Maya Kamath Memorial Awards are the only awards for political cartoonists in India. I have been participating for quite some time and on this occasion I won a Special Jury Mention. So yes, this is a pretty big deal for me.

About the cartoon:

It was a very chilly day and PMC safai kamgar were finding sacks of notes thrown in the garbage post demonetization. I linked the two and lo behold a cartoon was born.

Manmohan Singh has a bypass

The problem is India has no Vice-PM and the Prez has no real control. So when he is under the knife India has no person in command. Get well, you are a likeable person.

Hamas

Israel is going the American way again and making an hole in Palestine which will again breed more suicide bombers. With the great efficiency and technology that they are attacking they are sure to uproot Hamas the same way America got the Taliban in Afghanistan.
