Pakdam Pakdai finally finished

Yesterday at Animagic we had a celebratory ice cream party. It was because the TV series we were designing for Nick India finally came to an end. The team did an awesome job.. I had the opportunity to work with some awesome students of SID Rohan, Mitali and Anshita who trained in the necessary softwares  and skills for the job.
I was responsible for the storyboarding and animatics and had a great time in understanding the vision of Director Nilesh Nevgi on this project.

We did 7 full 21 min episodes and one 7 min episode in about 9 months with a small core team of @7 people. Awesome achievement. Will update with storyboards and animatics once the series releases on TV.

Off the kerela cost 2 italian marines mistook local fishermen as pirates and killed them. They were arrested and put on trial in India. Then they were given 4 days to go and vote in Italy on the Italian govt assurance. Once there the Italian govt said no return as we don't like your policies and legal procedures.
Our govt is now making idle threats.

Finally here it is my name at the end of the film. This was not seen when the film was premiered on CN. So after all these year I am putting it up on my blog.

Talk about all work and no credit.. happens a lot in the world of animation.
I did the animatics of the film and was also the assistant producer.

IAD 2010

During my last days of my last stint at Animagic I had the privilege of working on the mascot design for Asifa International Animation Day. Chetan sketched the chara.. I did the inking and Yogesh did the colors.

It was a major project now that I realise and the mascots were used on every aspect of the event from tickets, hoardings, web, mugs, tshirts etc.

WHEW.. never realised how big a deal it was till I saw them again just now.

The Nov 11 issue of Animation reporter carried an article on the mascot design for which I had done the layout. If anybody where to get an online copy of the same do share a link.
